● About raag megh ●

Megh is a Hindustani classical raga. The meaning of Megh in Sanskrit is 'Cloud'. Hence this raga is mostly sung or played in the Monsoon season.

●History of raag megh●

This is one of the very old ragas found in Indian classical music. This raga is related from Lord Krishna time period, when Govardhan Parvat (mountain) was on Lord Krishna's short finger during the Govardhan leela, then Lord Shiva generated a Damru sound to protect Lord Krishna. That sound which was generated by the Damru was raga MEGH...

● About Artists ●

● SARANGI ●
Prabhjeet kaur namdhari ... a girl sarangi player from shri bhaini sahib (Ludhiana , punjab). Initially been trained by shri.Karam singh ji namdhari in shri bhaini sahib and Pt . Vidya sahai ji ( banaras ghrana ) . At present she is under the guidance of ustad Murad ali khan sahib( moradabaad gharana ) .

● SITAR ●
Rattan kaur namdhari .. is an instrumentalist from sri bhaini sahib .She started learning sitar from Late . Pandit. Varinder Kumar ji and from Gurdial Singh Ji namdhari . After that she had been trained by Simratpal kaur ji and Harjinder singh ji . At present she is disciple of DR. Harvinder sharma ji .

● TABLA ●
Rashpal Singh…..a Tabla student, is a resident of Sri Bhaini Sahib (Ludhiana, Punjab). With the warm blessings of SRI SATGURU UDAY SINGH JI he is learning tabla in Sri Bhaini Sahib under the guidance of SRI RAJESH MALVIYA JI.
