In this video, Dr. Kate Truitt guides us through a soothing meditation for a gentle midday break. As always she welcomes us to invite in soothing, havening touch and breathwork. Then she asks us to imagine the most calming beach we could imagine, and identify three sensory experiences we would have there. We invite our senses to paint the experience for us, and then walk ten steps towards the beach at our own cadence.

As we’re walking, she invites us to notice the sounds around us, and tune into that sensory experience by identifying three sounds we would hear on our beach. Then she guides us to shift our attention to our feet, noticing the texture and imprint of each step we take. If we allow our eyes to drift across the beach, what are five colors can we see on our beach? Is the sea calm? What are the possibilities of this peace and calm?

We can return to this beach and tap into this calm and peaceful setting whenever we need a gentle midday break.
