🔸 Cancer के Patient का वज़न क्यों घटता है?
Cancer के मरीज़ों का वज़न अनायास कम हो सकता है क्योंकि उनके शरीर को ज़्यादा ऊर्जा (calories) की ज़रूरत होती है। कैंसर कोशिकाएँ तेजी से बढ़ती हैं और अधिक ऊर्जा लेती हैं। जब भोजन से पर्याप्त ऊर्जा नहीं मिलती, तो शरीर अपनी चर्बी और मांसपेशियों को तोड़कर ऊर्जा बनाता है, जिससे वज़न तेजी से घटता है।

🔸 Cancer में Weight Loss के 3 मुख्य कारण क्या हैं?
Increased Calorie Requirement:
कैंसर कोशिकाएं लगातार बढ़ने के लिए ज़्यादा ऊर्जा लेती हैं। जब खानपान से पर्याप्त ऊर्जा नहीं मिलती, तो शरीर फैट और प्रोटीन (मसल्स) को तोड़कर उसकी पूर्ति करता है।

Changes in Metabolism:
कैंसर के कारण शरीर में inflammation (सूजन) और cytokines नामक पदार्थ बनते हैं, जो मेटाबॉलिज्म को बिगाड़ते हैं और भूख कम कर देते हैं।

Treatment-Related Changes:
Chemotherapy से भूख कम लगना, स्वाद बदलना, मिचली आना।
Radiation therapy, खासकर मुंह या गले में, सलाइवा कम बनाता है और ulcers हो सकते हैं।
Surgery, विशेष रूप से पेट या आंतों की, से खाने की क्षमता कम हो सकती है।

🔸 कैंसर Metabolism और भूख पर कैसे असर डालता है?
Cancer से शरीर में सूजन (inflammation) होती है जिससे cytokines नामक केमिकल्स बनते हैं। ये शरीर के चयापचय को बिगाड़ते हैं, भूख कम कर देते हैं और शरीर भोजन से ऊर्जा ठीक से नहीं बना पाता।

🔸 Chemotherapy, Radiation Therapy और Surgery का वज़न पर क्या असर होता है?
Surgery: विशेषकर पेट की सर्जरी से खाने की मात्रा कम हो जाती है।

Chemotherapy: मरीज़ को मिचली, स्वाद में बदलाव और भूख की कमी हो सकती है।

Radiation Therapy: मुंह या गले में रेडिएशन से सलाइवा कम बनता है, ulcers होते हैं और खाना मुश्किल हो जाता है।

🔸 वज़न घटने से कैसे निपटें?
इलाज शुरू होने से पहले पोषण की योजना बनाएं।

High-Protein और High-Calorie वाला डाइट लें।

अगर पूरा खाना नहीं खा पा रहे हैं तो Supplements का उपयोग करें।

Medical Support – अगर मिचली, भूख न लगना आदि हो तो डॉक्टर से दवा लें।
