External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar on November 29 claimed that technology is no more neutral and strong political connotations are inbuilt into technology.
Speaking at the Global Technology Summit 2022 in Delhi, Jaishankar said, “Theme picked is timely as technology today is at the heart of geopolitics. Countries have fashioned their national security decisions & what kind of influence they will get by applying technology.”
“We cannot be agnostic about technology. Have to stop pretending that there is something neutral about it. Data is the new oil. Strong political connotations are inbuilt into technology,” he added.
