Welcome to Talos-II, a dangerous world rife with catastrophes and risks. The first Frontiersmates toiled for years to establish a foothold. Settlements sheltered by massive walls formed a new foundation for our civilization. But the vast wildlands and uninhabited territories stretching far beyond the colonies of the Civilization Band have yet to be surveyed. As such, most of this world remains untamed.

⛰️💎 First Impressions:

Arknights: Endfield is far more ambitious than a simple gacha RPG; it feels like two distinct games welded together, and we love that developer Gryphline took such a bold risk. Stepping onto the desolate, gorgeous planet of Talos-II, the initial impression is a familiar-yet-fresh anime ARPG experience. The combat is certainly the star of the show, focusing on strategic skill chaining among your four-operator team rather than pure button-mashing. It genuinely evokes the tactical Final Fantasy VII Remake or Xenoblade Chronicles 2 style, rewarding the player for precise positioning and exploiting elemental reactions. While the early-game story and character writing have been a common point of criticism, sometimes feeling a bit generic compared to the original Arknights' rich lore, the sheer visual polish and satisfying, deliberate flow of battle keep the exploration engaging. The fact that the game doesn't force vertical climbing and instead rewards route planning with gadgets and ziplines gives the open world a unique, thoughtful pacing that other modern competitors often miss.

What completely blew us away, however, was the unexpected depth of the Automated Industry Complex (AIC) system. To call it base building is an understatement; this is a full-blown Factorio or Satisfactory-style industrial simulation hidden inside a gacha RPG. Suddenly, our focus shifted from fighting to optimizing conveyor belts, power distribution, and automated assembly lines to churn out essential gear and materials. This feature is the game's most brilliant and defining characteristic, creating a satisfying feedback loop where the ARPG elements feed the factory, and the factory, in turn, equips the operators for the next expedition. While the combat's strategic layer can feel a little too simple or the companion AI slightly clumsy at times, our overall impression is that Endfield offers a completely unique hybrid experience. It's a game that respects your time by letting you automate the grinding process, allowing you to switch between tactical exploration and deep industrial planning whenever you choose.
