Strasbourg, the Christmas capital, carried a different energy. Grand. Festive. Alive. One of Europe’s oldest Christmas markets sits beneath the towering cathedral, glowing with tradition and joy. It felt like the heart of Christmas — classic, timeless, and full of stories.

Then came Riquewihr — a medieval dream frozen in winter. Narrow cobbled streets, fairy lights draped over centuries-old houses, wine cellars glowing softly. After dark, it felt like time had paused just for this village.

And Eguisheim — small, circular, cozy. The kind of place where Christmas feels personal. Quiet streets, glowing windows, slow walks, and a softness that stays with you long after you leave.

These villages don’t rush you. They don’t demand attention. They simply exist — glowing, gentle, and magical.
