Albert Nobbs (2011) – Protecting another woman

Filmmakers rarely show audiences women protecting other women. In this clip from Albert Nobbs (2011) Janet McTeer, who plays a lesbian disguised as a man (Mr. Hubert Page) in order to earn a decent living, suggests to Mia Wasikowska (the young mother of baby Albert) that she will look after her rather than allow Wasikowska to be thrown into the street and her baby taken from her. Two women (Gabriella Prekop, Glenn Close) worked on the screenplay for his enjoyable drama set in 19th century Ireland.
