05/06 GSXR1000 Fast Idle adjustment

Описание к видео 05/06 GSXR1000 Fast Idle adjustment

This video is on how fast idling works on a 2006 Suzuki GSXR1000. Perhaps it will help you troubleshoot why your fast idling is not working or how to adjust it.

Based on the manual, fast idling should be at 2000 RPM and normal idling is at 1200 RPM. The smaller screw on top controls fast idling and the bigger screw on the bottom controls regular idling. Turning the screws clockwise will increase RPM and counter clockwise will decrease it.

I had an issue with fast idling not working, but I ignored it until I had a regular idling problem and had the bike stall on me when I clutched the bike. I increased the regular idle and decided to look into how fast idling works and this is what I discovered.

To adjust fast idle, make sure that the triangle (with a rounded end) is engaged. This only happens when you start the engine and stays engaged while the temp is below 80 degrees Fahrenheit (yes, I realize it can't be Celsius after I said it). So you have a small window of time to make that adjustment, then let the bike cool down again if you want to test it.
