In this lesson, you will learn how to add two fractions or mixed numbers together. In order to add fractions, we must first find a common denominator. In order to do this, we can multiply the numerator and denominator of a fraction by any number we wish in order to obtain a common denominator. If the problem contains mixed numbers, we first convert the mixed number into an improper fraction, then proceed as usual to find a common denominator before adding.
