When you two can’t agree, are you the first to go to God asking for help and discernment on how to handle the situation… how to treat and handle her with care as the weaker vessel????

Being a man, a husband, and a leader is understanding that you are called to cover her in all of her pain, insecurities, and fears. This means that we will always have to be willing to forsake our own feelings for the sake of hers.

Being the leader only means that you are always the first to lead in love, wanting to give joy, peacemaking, being patient, kind, faithful, gentle, and self controlled, dying to your own pride so that you can lead in humility like Jesus.

When we lead his way, in forgiveness, (recognizing our own faults and learning to give grace and mercy/understanding for hers) her love for us grows through him. #injesusname

Modeling God’s forgiveness and faithfulness is the secret to a lifelong marriage; not happiness. It’s being able to persevere through the hard times.
