Alors que le gallo est assez peu présent dans la tradition chantée de Haute-Bretagne, Bèrtran Ôbrée redonne vie à cette langue bretonne depuis quarante ans. Il remet en mouvement des archives et les replace dans le fil de l’oralité. Le gallo retrouve sa voix, de collectage en poèmes, de textes en chansons. Dans un mouvement de rencontre Est-Ouest, il mélange les traditions celtiques et d’Armoriques avec les inspirations méditerranéennes et féconde les embruns de la vieille Bretagne du souffle du vent de l’Anatolie.

While Gallo has a relatively small place in the singing tradition of Upper Brittany, Bèrtran Ôbrée has been bringing this Breton language back to life for the past forty years. He puts the archives back into motion and replaces them in the thread of oral tradition. Gallo finds its voice again, from collections to poems, from texts to songs. In an East-West encounter, he blends Celtic and Armorican traditions with Mediterranean inspirations, fertilizing the sea spray of old Brittany with the breath of the Anatolian wind.
