After 1945 antisystemic movements: the left in core countries of the world-system and the national liberation movements in the periphery, came to power; but as gaining state power was not sufficient to change the system, the state as such lost its strategic function and its legitimization.The failure of the old antisystemic movements was that they failed in changing the system though being in state power.
1968 as world revolution was a reaction to this failure. Also it brought up a very defensive kind of ethnicity.
