The final night of the Dirt Car Nationals at Volusia Speedway Park is here, and there’s $20,000 on the line. Take a full look around the world’s fastest half-mile in Barberville, Florida — from the pits and vendor row to the infamous backstretch and even the gator pond.

We roll into the night with Buch Motorsports in the number 13 410 sprint car, strong qualifying speed, and a front-row heat race start. As the sun drops and the track grips up, horsepower goes through the roof and the pace hits another level. The feature is cut to 25 laps due to extreme speed and fuel concerns, and we roll off 10th in what turns into one of the fastest races I’ve ever run. It wasn’t the result we wanted, but it was a night packed with learning, growth, and perspective as we continue our first full season on the road.
