Partnering to Spread Awareness on Antibiotic Use to Save Lives in Nepal

Antibiotics are used to treat some infections. They should only be used when the doctor prescribes them. Buying and taking medicines without a prescription can reduce medicine effectiveness.

USAID, through its Medicines, Technologies, and Pharmaceutical Services (MTaPS) Program in Nepal, supports the government’s Department of Drug Administration (DDA) to strengthen how medicines are managed in Nepal. USAID-MTaPS Nepal is helping DDA improve services from all pharmacies and ensure quality-assured medicines are available to the community.
