The Ilovlya River, whose sources originate near the village of Pervomayskoye, 30 km south of the city of Krasnoarmeysk, flows through picturesque steppes and forests, reaching 358 kilometers in length. The clean waters of the Ilovlya give this river a special atmosphere, and in the area of ​​the village of Zakharovka, its waters reveal themselves in their pristine beauty. It was here, in June 2025, that this unique underwater filming was carried out, showing the world invisible to most underwater.

The underwater world of Ilovlya amazes with its dynamism and diversity. In the frame, you can see a bodyaga, a colony of microscopic algae that form dense gray or green sponges on the stones and the bottom of the river. These structures not only serve as shelter for many small organisms, but also play an important role in cleaning the reservoir. The bodyaga gives the underwater footage a special character, creating unique textures and bubbling shapes that become the center of attention when the camera approaches it.

In addition to the bodyaga, there are other amazing creatures under the water of Ilovlya. Young fish fry smoothly glide among underwater plants, hiding in shelters made of algae and driftwood. No less spectacular is the appearance of the pike, a predator that moves rapidly through the water, its sharp and precise movements make you admire its grace and strength. But special attention deserves a turtle filmed on a piece of a log sticking out of the water. It stretched its neck towards the sun, enjoying the warmth, like a centuries-old observer who is in no hurry to move, absorbing every moment. This moment on the log, when the turtle slowly and calmly warmed itself, creates a special atmosphere, as if nature itself slows down the passage of time, allowing you to observe its majestic calm.

Blockages, sunken branches and snags create underwater labyrinths in which life, full of secrets and wonders, hides. All these elements, from the sponge to the pike and turtle, make up the rich ecosystem of the Ilovlya River, emphasizing its living nature. Filming in the area of ​​the village of Zakharovka gives a unique idea of ​​how the river breathes, how its waters flow and how full-blooded its underwater world lives.
