I’m a Resident Evil fan, and I’m writing fan fiction to give backstories to some of the more beloved characters who never had much time in the spotlight.

This chapter steps away from the chaos and into a quiet roadside diner, where an undercover officer meets with a visibly shaken doctor carrying information that could change everything. What begins as casual small talk over coffee slowly tightens into something far more dangerous as a single name hangs in the air—one neither man truly wants answered.

When the truth finally comes, it comes too fast. Composure slips. Fear leaks through the cracks. And the realisation settles in that someone is already lost—and that whatever is coming next may be far worse.

This is a restrained, noir-tinged chapter about silence, denial, and the moment you realise there’s no turning back.
