A simple DIY fix to a problem that some Vita-mix blenders face: a faulty rheostat that does not operate smoothly over the sweep of the dial. In other words, it has a jumpy operation. This fix will take less than 10 minutes and will make your Vita-Mix blender work perfectly. Anyone can perform this repair, no special skills are required.

I performed this on my Vita-mix 5000 blender, however, these may apply to other models with a similar control layout.
