If you have been following the news lately, especially tech and financial news, then you have probably heard metaverse, or metaverse stocks, Or how Facebook is leading the way for metaverse.

But what does all of that mean?

In today’s video I will explain what metaverse is and we will go over some stocks to be watching or investing in, and some cheap cryptos that could see a crazy rise as the metaverse becomes the norm.

The metaverse sounds like a world on a Marvel movie. Meta actually means Beyond, and Verse is from universe. Metaverse is a term that was coined in Neal Stephenson’s 1992 novel “Snow Crash.”

The actual definition of Metaverse is “a virtual-reality space in which users can interact with a computer-generated environment and other users.”

In other words, the metaverse is a future version of the internet that is currently being developed. It will likely be the combination of the internet, virtual reality, augmented reality, digital worlds, cryptocurrency and NFTs.

Having the ability to bridge all of this together will have enormous value. And speaking of value, as of 2020, the virtual reality market was worth just under $16 billion, However, now listen to this part close, VR is projected to reach above USD 305 billion by 2026. The anticipated CAGR for the augmented and virtual reality market is around 62% from 2020 to 2026.

Cathie Wood and ARK Research estimates revenue from virtual worlds could approach $400 billion by 2025.

While Bloomberg Intelligence believes the market opportunity for the Metaverse can reach $800 billion by 2024.

Now, understanding a little about this, what would this world look like.

For instance, individuals too sick or frail to leave the house, the Metaverse could become a place to meet a doctor and physically show their ailments without being physically present.

Facebook is taking the plunge into the Metaverse by introducing virtual office spaces where individuals can enter using the Oculus Quest2 headset and hand holders. These tools have sensors that will reflect real-time movements in the virtual work room. Users can walk around their living rooms presenting, or turn and high five a colleague, all of which is reflected by their avatars in the virtual workroom.

Military and law enforcement is already utilizing this concept with virtual reality helping to sharpen decision making skills in life and death training scenarios.

But now that you a have basic understanding about what metaverse is, let’s talk stocks and cryptos. And we’re gonna leave out Ethereum 2.0 and Facebook, because those are the most obvious.
