Once the first peregrine egg of the season is laid you know that, all being well, successive eggs will follow at (roughly) 24 hour intervals. But you have no sure way of knowing when the FIRST egg will be laid.

Peregrine cams are located in the main tower of Lincoln Cathedral where the famous Lincoln Cathedral Peregrines raise their chicks each breeding season. In 2025, drama unfolded when a new, much larger female — nicknamed the Wicked Step‑Mother (WSM) — arrived and began attacking the four fledglings. Thanks to regular tower access, we were able to monitor the juveniles closely and even provide supplementary food to help them survive.
