What can I say? The economy of a bus ride from London to Paris is a no-brainer. Of course, it's all contingent on everything going well. No accidents or delays, passing border control, and the bus catching the ferry right on time.

The margin for all these items failing at the same time are low, but if one thing goes wrong, everything snowballs.

At first glance, Eurolines' overnight bus is extremely attractive. Both me and Jay saved $250.00 (at low end estimates - it's tracking higher currently) by not booking a high-speed train and an additional night at a hotel. By booking an overnight bus you're essentially travelling while you sleep, which would otherwise would take the same amount of hours (similarly) if you were awake and sought an alternative mode of transportation (high speed train). Me and Jay were up for the challenge and decided to take a risk by from London to Paris by bus. If all fails, at least we'd have nice story to tell, which is what we're doing today.
