Biomedical engineers have today gathered at hotel Africana to find lasting solutions to the problems facing the health sector particularly in the field of biomedical in Uganda.
These say that biomedical field has not been appreciated and recognized something that has hindered their work.
The biomedical field is one responsible for the procurement, maintenance and repair of medical equipment's in the country.
However different stakeholders have decried a lot of challenges that the field faces including failure to be recognized, little funding, among others.
These have held a two days conference that will see different biomedical engineers, doctors, and entrepreneurs share knowledge, among others.
This is the first Biomedical engineering conference to be held in Uganda.
Apart from procurement and maintenance of medical equipment's the biomedical engineers are also tasked with doing research and developing different and new innovations to better the health sector
At the even, different biomedical equipment's will be showcased.
