Eve online, How To: Probe Scan like a Pro

Описание к видео Eve online, How To: Probe Scan like a Pro

everything you ever wanted to know about the mechanics behind your core probes, but were very afraid to ask Muffy.

so some interesting things I learned today that helped refine my understanding of the mechanics.

scan probe spheres within range of signature
1 = sphere (either dot or x result?)...or was it always x?...i think also the sphere will match one of the scanner probe's sphere
2 = circle indicates 2 probes within range - AND the arc of the circle that involves just 2 probes indicates which of the probes is within range
3 = dotted line indicates the one furthest from your scan probe widgets is the one you need to focus on
4 = dot

a) if your probes aren't using the pinpoint method, be careful you don't lower the efficiency to the point one or more probes are disregarded by the mechanic (you'll drop efficacy literally down # scan probes)
b) a red result always tells me to go down one range increment, an orange down two, and a yellow down three.
c) the dotted line means I go down an extra increment [edit: incorrect]

oh, and the 'launch pinpoint formation' resets the range and formation, and the save position will save the formation/range but not location/positions.
[which is a great way to simply reset the range to 4au]

and core probes absolutely cannot find ships/drones/deployables/structures - just the sigs, ma'am.
