National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) is an autonomous institute that offers courses in fashion, designing, technology, and management.


The CAT carries 50% weightage and gat 30% for the B.Des program and 40% weightage for the M.Des program.

Stage 1 - Comprises the CAT and a General Ability Test (GAT)
Stage 2 - The candidate has to next appear in a Situation Test (B.Des) /Personal Interview and Group Discussion (M.Des)

The syllabus for NIFT Entrance Exam for GAT include topics like quantitative ability, communication ability, English comprehension, analytical ability, general knowledge, and current affairs.

The National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) provides students with two scholarships. The Sarthak NIFT Financial Assistance Scheme is one of the options. Pupils whose family income falls below a specific threshold are eligible for this grant awarded to those students.
