Hey guys sorry for my gap between videos I have been doing a little travelling lately so I wasn't able to edit, but I'm back at it expect some videos in the upcoming weeks. Also this video has a lot to do with religious topics all I ask is please be respectful in the comments thank you :)

So after a wonderful time in Amman I finally took the car out to the outskirts of the Jordanian countryside hopefully to see some really cool ancient places that you can't find anywhere else. Jordan in fact has so many ancient Roman and Herodian sites because of the previous occupation of the Country 2000 years ago, and the best part is that the sites are extremely well kept for this amount of time of the sites being abadoned, so I told myself I have to see as much as possible. Umm Qais, Pella, Madaba and Irbid are places I won't explore in the video, but I highly highly reccomend them because of the history as well as the geography, up north in Jordan gets quite green and its very beautiful there. But anyways I begin with a hugely significant site for Christians, and that is the bapitismal site of Jesus (Bethany Beyond Jordan) where it is believed through tradition, and some archlogical finds that it is the exact or near the spot where Jesus was baptised by John the Bapist in the New Testament. The site borders the desputed West Bank territory, so the site is heavily militarised, so I was forced to take an organized tour out of safety concerns. Bethany Beyond Jordan was established on the Ancient King's Highway where travellers came from Mount Nebo heading into Jericho or the other way around this busy highway for it's time extended from Judea all the way to Egypt. What you can find today are many churches from almost all the Christian denominations of the world, old ruins of a Byzantine church from the 4th Century, and bapitismal pools dating back even earlier during the Roman times suggesting it was used by John the Baptist or just after his time. After spending time there we took a short walk to the actual Jordan River and after I took a short dip in the river and taking in the magnitude of this place I eventually headed back with the group and finally to my car. The next stop of the road trip was Mount Nebo, which wasn't too far. I took some stops along the way to admire the beauty Jordan had to offer, but I eventually got to the top of the Mountain. The reason of significane for Mount Nebo is because this is where it is believed that Moses spent his final days, and took his first and last look of the Holy Land that was promised by God all the way back during the time of Abraham. Moses is a significant figure in all 3 of the abrahamic religions, Judaism, Islam, and Christianity, but the actual site has been abadoned for over 400 years and only recently being recovered due to the purchase of the place by the franciscans a Religious order within the Catholic Church. It was very hot day during the time I filmed this video because I filmed it back in the summer, so on a normal day you can just barely see Jerusalem, but I wasn't able to because of the fog. After enjoying the view, I took a look at some remarkable 6th Century Byzantine mosaics discovered back in 1976 still in tremendous condition. I pushed further into nowhere in Jordan passing some towns, but towards the end I ended up in the outskirts of the Country. I finally got to my last destination of the day, which was the Fortress of Machaerus that was the former Fortress of Herod the Great during the time of the Kingdom of Judea and Roman occupation. This is the site where it is believed John the Baptist was jailed and beheaded according to tradition. After that I decided to head down to the Dead Sea just before the sun came down. The next day I went to Jerash just north of Amman, and I won't write much about it, but all I have to say is that it is by far the best preserved Ancient Greco-Roman site I have ever seen, and this site is a must for any tourist in Jordan!
