This video outlines how to set up Paddle for a straightforward SaaS use case. A sandbox account that requires no verification was used, but one needs to apply for a production account and go through business verification steps to collect real payments. The interface seen in the video is the latest version called Paddle Billing and it looks different from the Paddle Classic account.

Firstly, the software product needs to be created in the catalog. Under the products, are various prices which could be defined as subscription plans. A sample product with two prices, each representing a version of a plan (monthly and annual), was demonstrated. Multiple tiers can also be created with additional prices for each tier.
