The beautiful song "Serenade in Blue" was written by Harry Warren and Mack Gordon for the film Orchestra Wives in 1942. It was introduced in the film by Lynn Bari with the Glenn Miller Orchestra. However Bari's voice was dubbed by Pat Friday. This arrangement is by Steve Allen. I play it on the slow side but I kind of like it. I might change my mind down the road when I come back to it. Many thanks to David Jenkins for providing me the music. The voicings in this arrangement remind me a bit of the brilliant style of George Shearing.
