Work typically begins in the teaching hospital, but Bakhtawar Amin encourages periods spent in community practices. In addition, courses tend to emphasize the development of communication, information technology and personal management skills.
Career prospects for most medical students would be to start general practice. A minority will go on to academics, hospital medical service, community medical practice.
