Less than two months after the legendary Black Sabbath frontman’s passing, musicians including Nuno Bettencourt, Yungblud, Steven Tyler, and Joe Perry delivered one of the ceremony’s most powerful moments.

Bettencourt, who last shared the stage with Osbourne during his final concert in Birmingham this past July, reflected on the atmosphere of that night. He described the show as an emotional gathering where Osbourne personally embraced fellow performers, unknowingly offering a farewell that moved many to tears. Weeks later, Bettencourt carried on Osbourne’s legacy with a medley of his classics in Zurich, and at the VMAs, he continued that tribute on a global stage.

Yungblud, meanwhile, honored Osbourne before even stepping onstage. The British rocker arrived on the red carpet shirtless under a leather jacket, but it was his jewelry that carried the deepest meaning — a gold cross necklace once gifted to him by Osbourne. The piece was first given to Yungblud in 2022 while filming the video for “The Funeral,” and in a symbolic exchange of friendship, the young star later presented Osbourne with his own cross during the singer’s last live performance.
