Holy Envy: Catholic & Orthodox Christian Families

Dr. David Dollahite, co-director of the American Families of Faith project, reflects on his sense of "holy envy" for Catholic and Orthodox Christian families in the United States. A simple, regular, patterned approach to asking and granting forgiveness smooths relationships within many of these families.

Most videos available on the American Families of Faith YouTube channel feature our friends of other faiths describing how they live their faith. In this video, we briefly share what we deeply admire about our friends of other faiths, what has led us to experience a sense of “holy envy” toward them and their faiths.

Our intent is that the videos, audio articles, and podcasts shared here assist in promoting understanding of families of various faiths, in encouraging inter-faith dialogue, and in promoting respect among those of diverse religious identities.
