Republicans are registering to vote for the upcoming election by more than double the rate democrats are recently.

Voter data available Monday morning for each county across the state shows that nearly 80,000 of the about 150,000 newly registered voters are republicans, and fewer than 40,000 are democrat.

Republicans look to continue closing the gap of total voters in Pennsylvania, with about 300,000 more registered democrats in the state.
