Plea filed in high court demanding CBI inquiry into Mahant Narendra Giri's suicide case

When Mahant Narendra Giri was discovered dead under unexplained circumstances at his house in Baghambari Math in Prayagraj, a wave of shock and horror washed over the saint community of not only Uttar Pradesh, but the whole nation. Mahant Narendra Giri, head of the All India Akhara Parishad (AIAP), allegedly committed suicide in Prayagraj yesterday evening. The Mahant's body was discovered hanging with a nylon rope noose in his chamber, which had been locked from the inside. A suicide note was later discovered near the scene. A plea has been filed in high court demanding a CBI inquiry into the probe
