Emersione di frammenti di ricordi ed eventi dal favoloso mondo di Atlantis.
Atlantis (Atlantide) in questo video rappresenta i sogni, le speranze, ma anche il fallimento di alcune utopie della giovane generazione dei 'ruggenti anni sessanta' (e non solo). La musica evocatrice di questi 'sogni Atlantidei', è "Smells like teen spirit" dei Nirvana suonata dal violinista David Garrett (Rock Symphonies) . Le principali citazioni e i testi presenti nel video, sono: "Io ho un sogno" di Martin Luther King, alcuni frammenti dal mio 'Libretto' "Virus o il Furto di Atlantide"(1968-'69), "Give peace a chance" di John Lennon e la poesia "Purché resti un segno di sogno " tratta dalla mia raccolta di poesie "Apache Tear" pubblicata in parte da "Quinta Generazione"nel 1992 e in toto in 'La Poesia e il suo Doppio' (2021).
La storia della mia fiction è quella di un mondo Atlantideo evoluto e felice dove crescevano grandi alberi di carote, una specie di 'Città del Sole' minata da un micidiale Killer e da un altrettanto micidiale Virus che-ammalava-il-cuore-degli-uomini. Questa situazione apocalittica portò il continente a una lenta implosione e sprofondamento nell'oceano.
Il "Furto di Atlantis" è anche una 'favola semantica' ispirata da Lewis Carroll, dal "Grado 0 della scrittura" e "Miti d'Oggi" di Roland Barthes. Le pitture sono i sogni di Salvador Dalì e il readymade di Marcel Duchamp 'La Gioconda' (Monna Lisa 'con i baffi' ).
I disegni per i miei testi e per le performance su "Virus" sono: il ritratto di Ipsilonne (L'Uomo dalle scarpe gialle-Lo Spirito della Fantasia), del disegnatore Paolo Di Pietrantonio (Accademia d'Arte di Firenze) e le sequenze sulla storia di Atlantide, del pittore e batterista Gordon Faggetter (Cyan Three). Ipsilonne è il personaggio chiave di uno dei miei primissimi scritti. Nella mia immaginazione Ipsilonne suonava un magico-volante cordofono (una specie di 'skindapsos') usando come plettro e archetto la piuma rossa di un Grifone gigante. Questo enigmatico personaggio era il mio segreto Spiritello ispiratore e nelle foto con i Beatles - che si vedono nel video - stavo parlando con John proprio delle fantastiche scarpe gialle di Ipsilonne che portano così lontano... La meravigliosa bambina che fa capolino tra i girasoli è Elle Fanning ('Phoebe in Wonderland') e la bimba alla fine della narrazione (con i bambolotti bianco e nero) è mia figlia Ariel ("notedisera") con il suo sogno. Le mie foto ('The recording Atlantis Lady', Gerard Malanga ed io, ecc.) incluse nel video, sono del 1968-1969 e quelle con i Beatles John Lennon e George Harrison sono del 1965.
*ATLANTIS DREAM (Daniela Ripetti). Flashback and fragments of memories and events from the fabulous world of Atlantis. Atlantis in the video represents dreams and hopes, but also the failure of some utopias of the young generation of the "roaring Sixties"( and not only)
(Guitar and Violin). The music evoking my Atlantis dreams, is "Smells like teen spirit" (Nirvana) played by the flying violin of David Garrett. The main quotations and texts included in the video are: "I have a dream" by Martin Luther King, some fragments from my 'Pamphlet' "Virus or the Atlantis theft" (1968-'69), "Give peace a chance" by John Lennon and the poem "As long as it remains a dream" from my collection of verse "Apache Tear".
Atlantis, in my fantasy story, was an advanced and happy continent where high plants of carrots grew. It was a sort of 'City of the Sun' undermined by a lethal killer and by a Virus sickening the heart and the mind of the people of Atlantis. That cataclysmatic situation drove the continent to a slow implosion and sinking into the ocean.
'VIRUS' is also a semantic fairytale inspired by Lewis Carroll and by Roland Barthes ("Writing Degree 0" and "Mythologies").The painting, included in this video, are the dreams of Salvador Dalì and the readymade 'La Joconde' (Mona Lisa with moustache and goatee) by Marcel Duchamp (Dada- Surrealism). The drawing of 'Ipsilonne (The Man with yellow shoes The Sprite of the Fantasy )' is by Paolo di Pietrantonio and the pictures of the story of Atlantis are by the painter and drummer Gordon Faggetter. 'The man with yellow shoes' is the hero of one of my first unfinished writings. In my imagination Ipsilonne played a mutant magical chordophone (a sort of 'skindapsos') using as a plectrum the red feather of a giant Griffin. He was my secret inspiring Sprite, a real unknown! In the photos with John Lennon, we were just talking about the yellow shoes of that mysterious Sprite and how far they can transport you... The little girl peeping out from sunflowers is Elle Fanning starring "Phoebe in Wonderland". The photos of mine included in the video, are from 1968-1969, the two ones with John Lennon and George Harrison are from 1965 (in Italy ).
