65 Mustang GT Style Gauge Upgrade Using Classic Instruments Hot Rod Series

Here’s how I installed the Classic Instruments “Hot Rod” gauges in my 65 Mustang. Links below. I wanted a GT look and a little more modern functionality, and this set is perfect. Not a particularly difficult install, but it does require getting under the car to change out the speedometer drive gear…and there’s a fair amount of wiring. But the finished product is worth it! Total install time: about 8 hours. In this video I also show how to cut the dash to accommodate the round bezel and change the single turn indicator wiring so that it works separately for left and right.
