Neutral safety switch service: How to clean a neutral safety switch (transmission range switch)

Описание к видео Neutral safety switch service: How to clean a neutral safety switch (transmission range switch)

Neutral safety switch service. I demonstrate how to clean a neutral safety switch. This is also known as a transmission range switch or sensor. I take the switch apart on a 2003 Accord 4cyl and clean and lube it to ensure electrical contact is solid. Poor electrical contact can trigger almost any code in the ECU. It's always good practice to rule out poor contacts before replacing parts. A failing transmission range switch or poor contacts can result in the situation where the car does not start in Park. The car would usually start in Neutral. This procedure is an inexpensive tune up that can save the cost of replacing a new neutral safety switch.
