The Book of Job is considered by scholars to be one of the masterpieces of world literature and a profound work of philosophy. In it, we see a great man suffering greatly. Most of us would look at him and think his faith was misplaced and perhaps he should blame God for all that has happened to him. But the book makes clear that there is something about Job, about his character, about his righteousness in the sight of God and history that gives him the right to question God's motives and approach.

In this video I look at the outcome of what happened to him, whether or not is there such a thing as disinterested faith and will people go on believing in God if they are not rewarded, if they are unjustly punished? And why should they be faithful to a God who allows the wicked to triumph and the innocent to suffer? And finally what was the ultimate purpose of those events in my opinion.
