I've decided to "rebrand" this channel from Áya Dan to just "Rachel's Conlang Channel"! Why? Here are some thoughts!


🔹 The original name "Áya Dan" is from Láadan and means "Language is Beautiful". However - pretty much nobody knows that lol. This makes it hard to remember the name of the channel if you're not familiar with it. Plus, having an accented "Á" is a pain if you're on an Usona keyboard.


🔹 I originally wanted to encourage others to contribute to the channel as well and make a sort of "Conlang TV station" with various entertainment, but I just haven't had the time to coordinate this sort of thing. I'm the only one making videos right now, so it's more of a personal project channel, so might as well change it to reflect that.


🔹 I don't want people to think my name is Áya Dan. My name is Rachel Singh. :)


🔹 I want it to be easier to link to my non-conlang projects (and vice versa), which I generally label as "Rachel's" or "Moosadee" (e.g., "Rachel's Data Structures Lectures").
