Replacing the alternator in my 2009 Toyota Corolla with a 1.8L four cylinder motor. I was quoted around $800 at the dealership to have it replaced! This is a fairly easy repair that you can do yourself so if you are hesitant to jump in and try doing your own work check out this video! I attempted to make it as comprehensive as possible but omitted the unnecessary bolt turning portions etc. I spent about $225 for a refurbished alternator at O'reilly Auto parts, after returning the old alternator to get the core charge back.
