Imagine yourself in this situation!Your child four years of age has fever. You are doing your best to take care. Suddenly the child rolls up her eyes, stiffens up/gets jerky movements/becomes completely loose, and stops responding to you!The initial reaction of a parent would be to panic and to put the child on the shoulder and run to the hospital. It's so very very important for all parents to be thorough with the First Aid for Seizures. The incidence of Seizures during fever episodes in children 6months to 6 years of age is so high that 2 to 5 out of every 100 children in the above mentioned age group may get seizures during episodes of fever.
