The search for amethyst crystals began early in the morning near an abandoned mine. I had the opportunity to explore the mine up close and discovered some stunning amethyst points. The scenery was breathtaking, and the weather was ideal. Upon returning home, I cleaned the crystals with approximately 28% diluted hydrochloric acid and subsequently soaked them in water for a day or two to clean them up.
