The Hots Keitan Aluminum jig is a very unique jig. It is a fast jig with the ability to move very slow because of the density of the material. Typically, when the current slows down, you are not able to use slim jigs because their movement becomes too fast for the condition, with the aluminum body of the Keitan the responsiveness of the jig is not changed and the slow fall of the jig makes it ideal to use. Another good use of the Keitan aluminum is when targeting big fish in shallow water and you need a large profile

This rigging method is hardly used but it is quite stable, I have used this a lot in the past when splicing was not an option with solid cords available at that time. The only other option was to loop the cord, which at times is not practical. Due to the size of the hook, I had to use a cord - I could have spliced this cord, but I also want to show what else is possible other than splicing it to make it look clean.
