ILIGAN CITY - The Philippine Linked United Services, Incorporated (PLUS) microelectronics laboratory of Japan serves as the instructional and research laboratory represented by its President, Mr. Hideki Takamatsu, the main sponsor of the project.

The said project was turned-over to the Mindanao State University - Iligan Institute of Technology (MSU-IIT) conducted on 6 September 2024 at the MSU-IIT campus, represented by Prof. Alizedney M. Ditucalan, JD, LLM, Chancellor, MSU-IIT, for the enhancement of the capacities of the Electronics Engineering students.

Chancellor Ditucalan expressed his thanks and gratitude to the PLUS through its President, Mr. Takamatsu for having the said project. He said the challenges of the said project is how the output use in the actual usage in government instrumentalities or being commercialize in the industries to improve their productivity.

PLUS President Takamatsu in a Japanese language interpreted in English, said that the technology that they engaged in is getting smaller and smaller. He said they develop advance technology design for the development of semiconductor for automobile for electronic devices and Information technology (IT) advancement to be adapted by the students through research studies. Takamatsu stressed that the said technology will contribute the development of Iligan City.

Finally, in a ceremony, PLUS President Takamatsu turned-over the key to MSU-IIT Chancellor Ditucalan to open the microelectonics laboratory.
