Jopadhola oppose Tororo district split

Описание к видео Jopadhola oppose Tororo district split

Members of the Jopadhola ethnic group say they will not accept a new district to be carved out of Tororo as demanded by their neighbours - the Itesot’s. The Jopaphola passed the resolution over the weekend at a meeting held in Nagongera sub-county. The meeting was attended by MPs and other prominent leaders from the Jopadhola community. However, an elderly Itesot man who ate a rat before President Museveni in 2005 demanding the creation of Mukujju district says they have been marginalized by the Jopadhola for long and need to get their own district.
