Casio HT-3000 - Spectrum Dynamic synth

Описание к видео Casio HT-3000 - Spectrum Dynamic synth

The HT-3000 (1987) is from the digital-analogue hybrid "Spectrum Dynamic" synthesis family of Casio keyboards. It has a DCO-VCF-DCA synthesis structure with a single oscillator, but using initial waveforms that vary over time, with a resonant analogue filter and a stereo chorus effect with three modes. Parameters can all be edited, although the interface is irritating; one parameter (e.g. filter cutoff, parameter 10) can be tweaked in real-time using the data wheel. A mini-key variant, the HT-700, has the same sounds and most of the same features, while the HT-6000 is more sophisticated, with 4 VCOs, 8 VCFs, and a lot more waveforms to choose from.

All sounds you hear in the track were made using the HT-3000, apart from the kick drum, which is from Logic Pro's Drumsynth. Drum sounds can be accessed by selecting 92 using the rotary dial, which allows the user to record and save a rhythm pattern to one of the internal memory slots or an external memory card. Compatible memory cards are hard to come by now and internal memory is unfortunately reset each time the unit is unplugged from the mains.
