Only 1,782 miles on a body off frame restoration. Only 1,650 hardtops were made and much fewer had factory air conditioning. This car received rave reviews when new and is even more appreciated today. The body was 6 inches lower than the year before, it had extreme tailfins and an abundance of chrome. It was also the first production car to boast 1 hp per cubic inch. It has it going on!

EXTERIOR: What a looker! The lower roof line and tailfins as tall as a teenager give this car a look that can't go unnoticed. The body is pristine, arrow straight with no rust or damage. Only available in black or white, this one has the white polished like glass along with the polished gold accent color too. All the chrome sparkles like jewelry, and there's plenty of it! Giant front bumper, trim around the quad headlights, mirrors perched on top of each fender as well as antenna perched on top of each rear wing. Then there is a big chrome bumper that curves right up into the taillights and chrome strips on top of the trunk for no other reason other than to add more bling. It is rolling on some bling! Chrome wire wheels are wrapped in reproduction whitewall tires.

INTERIOR: The outside is cool, well so is the inside! From the silver tinsel carpet to the push button trans. All of the correct upholstery was used to restore the seats and door panels. The dash area is beautiful: the metal is painted, chrome knobs and trim sparkles, gauges are mint, steering wheel is restored. Below the dash looks like a vintage record player but actually opens up to find a stereo. Overhead is a pristine white headliner and visors decorated with chrome bars and working dome lights. Power windows and power seat will make life a little easier.

ENGINE COMPARTMENT: 345 cubic inch Hemi with a race cam and dual 4 barrel carbs produced 345 horsepower! It's not all race car, this one has power steering and brakes along with factory air conditioning! It is concourse restored in here, factory correct down to the stickers and paint stamps. It has the correct DeSoto Firedome valve covers, dual air cleaners, and even the Mopar Jiffy Jet washer bag. The a/c box has correct raw fiberglass, all the metal surfaces are painted slick. The wiring was all replaced, it has a reproduction battery. This motor compartment is detailed!

TRUNK COMPARTMENT: It is restored to brand new condition in here too. The metal is painted a smooth white finish. The correct liner kit was installed with a carpeted floor. The spare is a never used 5th reproduction white wall on a painted rim along with a restored jack assembly.

UNDERSIDE: It was frame off restored. The suspension was completely rebuilt and detailed. Chrysler promoted the new torsion bar system was like riding on air. The steering was rebuilt along with the brake system. New fuel system including tank and lines. Factory correct exhaust system other than the tailpipes have been rerouted to not mess up the chrome. Looking up at the motor and transmission they look fresh. The floors are all clean metal with a thin undercoat.

SERVICE: We thoroughly inspected this car and replaced a cracked window. The original a/c is not working.

This car only became nicer the more I inspected it. Really, this is an incredibly well restored car. This isn't like restoring a Camaro or Mustang, I'm sure it was much more difficult and costly. I bet it would cost 1/4 dollars at a shop. But they did it, they took an amazing car and made it new again!

I, Jay Grams, take pride in personally writing the descriptions for virtually every car for about the last 30 years now. A significant amount of effort goes into fact checking. What I am offering is my professional impression of the vehicle. Our salesmen are happy to assist with descriptions and making sure your questions are answered. One great suggestion is letting us do a walk around video that explains the car's condition in detail. **These cars are displayed in a museum. If interested in a particular car, make an appointment with a salesman to see that car. Without an appointment there is an admission fee to enter the showroom. If you buy a car, your admission will be refunded, and you will be given a 1 year membership.
