EVE Solo PvP: Lasker's First HAW Dread Fight

Описание к видео EVE Solo PvP: Lasker's First HAW Dread Fight

Lasker Emanuel presents his very first HAW Revelation anti-subcap fight from late 2017. Here, he explains his fit, and how he came up with it during the early stages of the HAW dread meta. The commentary works best when read alongside the video!

The fit I used in this video is the following:

[Revelation, Capablanca Jose's Revelation]

Capital I-a Enduring Armor Repairer
Heat Sink II
Energized Adaptive Nano Membrane II
Heat Sink II
Damage Control II
Energized Adaptive Nano Membrane II
Heat Sink II
Capital I-a Enduring Armor Repairer

Capital F-RX Compact Capacitor Booster
Domination Heavy Stasis Grappler
Federation Navy Stasis Webifier
Republic Fleet Warp Disruptor

Quad Mega Pulse Laser II, Sanshas Multifrequency XL
Siege Module II
Quad Mega Pulse Laser II, Sanshas Multifrequency XL
Corpus X-Type Heavy Energy Neutralizer
Quad Mega Pulse Laser II, Sanshas Multifrequency XL

Capital Energy Metastasis Adjuster I
Capital Energy Metastasis Adjuster II

This fit has 2842 DPS (cold) with Sansha Multifrequency loaded, and with Strong Drop running, a tracking of 3.94. It has 1.03 m EHP, and can rep 13,934 damage per second cold no drugs. Running all mods including the cap booster, it has a cap life of 6 minutes and 33 seconds.

It’s my first ever HAW dread fight, and I am not wild about the fit. I think the high and mid slots are alright, or at least it’s the same basic configurations I use on most HAW Dreads. 3 turrets, siege module, and the heavy X-Type neut in the utility high (with a range of 32 + 16). The neut is a key part of the application against small ships, shooting at frigates is often not especially profitable unless you are able to neut them out (which the heavy x-type generally does in one cycle). At this point, it becomes easier, but by no means guaranteed – and you can spend a lot of time shooting at cap-dry ceptors without ever hitting).

The four mids having cap booster, warp disruptor, grapple and web I regard as necessary, and all of my fits have these four modules in the midslots.

For the lows, I would definitely do something different today, although what exactly I am not sure. Certainly something that would give better tank and cap life. Maybe go single booster instead of 2x, or active hardeners, or the ancil rep (which gives both burst rep, and better efficiency, if you run it with paste, then reload and use the other one, then back again.)

I also don’t love the all-tracking rigs, but don’t see what can be done to change them. At 3.94 this is the lowest tracking I have ever taken a HAW dread out with, and it’s very noticeable if you (for example) roll a tracking penalty on the Exile.

If you want to spoil the outcome of the fight, you can view the battlereport here.
