Samsung's foldable Galaxy X will go on sale in 2018. Here is what we know about the Samsung Galaxy X features and launch date. Samsung is working on a phone with a foldable display, called the Galaxy X. It's confirmed that the phone will be declared and go on sale in 2018, probably toward year-end.The Samsung Galaxy X was initially rumoured to be a 5in cellphone that could fold out into an 8in tablet, but it is now supposed to fold into a 7in tablet. It's indeed possible that there will actually be two Samsung foldable phones released.

According to rumours the display resolution is predicted to be 4K (3840x2160 pixels), making sure that it stays high-res when folded. The Galaxy X could also feature a dual-camera in the back, among the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon chips - most likely now the Snapdragon 845 or even Exynos 9810- and at least 6GB of RAM. There ought to be a microSD card slot, but the battery will not be removable.
