Hello everyone, In this video we will talk about spring boot actuator. The most common interview question that is asked by interviewers is "Do you know about spring Actuator ?" What is actuator in spring boot? or what are spring boot actuator endpoints? how do you check health of spring boot application?

So we will discuss all about it in details in this video. We will discuss about what are the end ponts provided, how we enable or disable any endpoint. We will take an example of already developed spring boot applictaion and implement Spring boot actuator into it. what this spring boot application does is not important. how we implement spring boot actuator is the important thing that we will learn.

First of all, what is actuator?
Actuator in spring boot is list of endpoints which is provided by spring boot by default so that our application has production ready features. and you can perform different checks by using it. for example - health of application, bean available in the container

how do we implement actuator in spring boot application - first of all we will need spring boot actuator dependency. we need to add this dependency to pom.xml. by default all the end points are not available for use due to security reasons. only health, info and shutdown are enabled by default.
