A Walk Around Sunshine Island | Walking The Bornholm Coastal Path In Denmark

Bornholm is a small island owned by Denmark sitting in the Baltic Sea south of Sweden. It is a place of immense beauty and nicknamed ‘Sunshine Island’ due to it being one of the sunniest places in the country. Popular for both artists and holidaymakers attracted by the peaceful ambiance and natural beauty, I set out to explore the island on foot, walking the coastline along the famous Coastal Path or Kyststien. At 120km this route took me 4 days and along the way I explored hidden caves, ancient castles, smokehouses, tiny fishing harbours, vast and remote beaches, and much, much more. There was so much packed into this wee adventure and it is one not to miss!
