We built a custom desktop application (NET) for the client to be able to convert PDF documents that typically are locked and cant be saved as other formats. Using this tool the user only has to have the files in a inbox folder and select the output format. Then the converted PDF files will be created. Using this tool allowed the client to save hundreds of dollars on rework and save time. Example - they have hundreds of PDF's that have tables saved on them but are locked, before they would have to manually go through each and copy out the data. Now they just add the files in the inbox folder and selected excel as the output format and run. All output files are named the same as the PDF's but are now xls formatted.
