📍Mahakal Baba Than:
Mahakal Baba Than is a revered religious site dedicated to Lord Ganesha (হাতি), located in the mystical hills of Darjeeling. Known for its spiritual significance, it attracts pilgrims and visitors seeking blessings and spiritual peace.
📍Lataguri Gorumara Forest:
Lataguri is a gateway town to the Gorumara National Park, known for its rich biodiversity and lush green forests. Gorumara Forest is home to a variety of wildlife, including Indian rhinoceros, elephants, deer, and numerous bird species. Visitors can embark on exciting jungle safaris, explore nature trails, and enjoy the beauty of the dense forests, etc.
📍Gajoldoba Teesta Barrage:
Gajoldoba Teesta Barrage, located near Jalpaiguri, is a popular tourist spot known for its scenic beauty and rich birdlife. It serves as an irrigation project, but the surrounding wetland areas have become a haven for migratory birds. Visitors can enjoy boating, birdwatching, and photography while soaking in the peaceful environment.

We travelled to Kolkata from Siliguri by Express line bus, this time. The name of the bus was Volvo Multi Axle A/C Sleeper I-Shift B11R (2+1). The journey started at 7 P.M. and we reached at Kolkata 7 A.M. We had a comfortable journey. The bus gave several stops whenever needed including a 20 minutes dinner halt in Dalkhola.
Ticket price can vary season to season or according to demand. Generally it's 1500-1600/per person. One can go to the website or book the tickets.
